Kasetsart University announced that they will close
Bangkhen Campus to avoid the flood

BANGKOK – The rector of Kasetsart University announced yesterday that he will
close the Bangkhen campus and move all summer class students to the Kamphaeng
Saen Campus for awhile to avoid the flood.
On September 27th in commons, Assoc.Prof.Wuttichai
Kapilkarn, rector of Kasetsart University announced that he will close the Bangkhen campus for awhile and move all summer class students to
the Kamphaeng Saen campus to avoid the flood. “After Meteorological Department warned that
there will be a strongly typhoon again and our campus is in a risk area,” Assoc.Prof.Wuttichai
said. “We plan to move in next two
week.”
“Actually, the Bangkhen campus
has been damaged by flood since last month,” Assoc.Prof.Wuttichai said. “It will be a great time
for rebuilt and find the way to protect our campus from flooding in next time.”
However,
Assoc.Prof.Wuttichai also said that it good for students who want to graduation
in time, so they can study summer classes at the Kamphaeng Saen Campus.
Mr.Vittawat Lamtean, The student president of the Bangkhen campus feels worry
about the moving of summer classes students from Bangkhen campus to the
Kamphaeng Saen Campus. “It will difficult for
students who have a hometown in Bangkok to find a dormitory when they come to
study a summer class,” Mr.Vittawat said. “I decide to talk with the rector to
assist in providing a place for them.”
