ALMATY — Thailand volleyball team wins over South Korean team 3 – 0 sets,
25-23, 25-23, 25-20 in volleyball Asian Women Cup 2012 (AVC) yesterday
at Almaty, Kazakhstan hosted tournament.
In the game both of teams had closely form so
they were fight excitedly. First set, Thailand had a good teamwork made they
had a lead points so they won fist set as score 25-23
Second set, Korea team was not good at opening
balls and they did many wasted serves so that made score distance 4-5 points.
In the middle of the set Korea had a better playing but they cannot defend from
Thailand form. So Thailand got the second set score 25 -23
Third set, Thailand team still had top form,
good teamwork and techniques that made Thailand can close the set and match as
20 -25
“It was a very good opening tournament,” Wilawan
Apinyapong, Thailand leader player said.
“Today Thailand had a good form and good luck
and Korean team got many new players so that made we won. However, next match
with Taipei. We will do our best for all Thais,”
For the Korean team, in this tournament they are
forming a new team and many new players. Moreover, they missed the best player,
Kim Yon Jung who is resting because injury so she cannot play in this
tournament.
For playing between Thailand and Korea teams 8
times, Thailand can win over Korea only 1 time and the last 3 times Thailand
never wins over Korea team. By the way, 4 teams who win Asian Women Cup will
get a chance to play in volleyball World Grand Prix 2013 which is Japan and
China team passed to play in this tournament already. For the next match Thai will meet Chinese Taipei
tomorrow 6.30pm by Thai time.
