BANGKOK — Srinakharinwirot University announced on Wednesday 26th that next year the university will open new faculties, Faculty of Marine Science and the Faculty of Architecture, in both Thai Program and International Program.

    

     Asst. Prof. Dr. Chalermchai Boonyaleepun, the rector of Srinakharinwirot University announced in the Annual General Meeting 2012 that next year Srinakharinwirot University will open new faculties such as Faculty of Marine Science and the Faculty of Architecture.  “We decided to open these faculties for a long time,” Asst. Prof. Dr. Chalermchai said. “By the way, to welcome to ASEAN, we will open in both Thai Program and International Program.”

     Asst. Prof. Dr. Chalermchai explained about the special thing of this faculty is to not belonging to Faculty of Science like other universities. “In Thailand, we are the second university that has the Faculty of Marine Science,” Asst. Prof. Dr. Chalermchai said. “Anyway, we are confident in our professors, equipment and building that ready for student in next year.”

     For the Faculty of Architecture, Asst. Prof. Dr. Chalermchai said that after we are in the ASEAN this faculty will become important because architects are a career that will never losing their job.  Including our university are renowned in Faculty of Art, so the Faculty of Architecture should receive attention from students.

     Asst. Prof. Sineenart Laedpriwan, dean of the Faculty of Fine Arts support that the special of the Faculty of Architecture is to having five different department such as Department of Industrial Design, Department of Architecture, Department of Interior, Department of Landscape Architecture and Department of Urban and Regional Planning.

     “The reason why we decided to open several kind of department because we see the importance of this faculty and to show that we are ready in professors to support our student,” Asst. Prof. Sineenart said. 

     In addition, Asst. Prof. Dr. Chalermchai also said that, he has a plan to open a new major that study about to ASEAN too.

BANGKOK — A Chinese teacher, Mr.Zhang Huan, was found dead in the room number 225 Kasetsart University yesterday, and his body was stabbed several times until he died. 

     Police speculated from the interrogation that the murderer was his student who is not satisfied his teaching and his evaluation score because there are a lot of students abuse him that he was a despotic teacher.

     Ms. Thidarat Chinawing,Mr.Zhang's student, said that " he is a stick teacher, He always snapped at student ,and many students have to study again and again because he give 0 point to them, Especially, girl students. I’m not surprise why he was killed"

     Mr. Zhang Ling, Mr.Zhang's student, said that “He is a very good teacher but I think Thai people don't like this style because he has a very rigorous. Thailand should not lose good Chinese personnel like him"

     However, Police will find the murderer as soon as possible for take him a legal.

ALMATY — Thailand volleyball team wins over South Korean team 3 – 0 sets, 25-23, 25-23, 25-20 in volleyball Asian Women Cup 2012 (AVC) yesterday at Almaty, Kazakhstan hosted tournament.

     In the game both of teams had closely form so they were fight excitedly. First set, Thailand had a good teamwork made they had a lead points so they won fist set as score 25-23

     Second set, Korea team was not good at opening balls and they did many wasted serves so that made score distance 4-5 points. In the middle of the set Korea had a better playing but they cannot defend from Thailand form. So Thailand got the second set score 25 -23

     Third set, Thailand team still had top form, good teamwork and techniques that made Thailand can close the set and match as 20 -25

     “It was a very good opening tournament,” Wilawan Apinyapong, Thailand leader player said.

       “Today Thailand had a good form and good luck and Korean team got many new players so that made we won. However, next match with Taipei. We will do our best for all Thais,”

     For the Korean team, in this tournament they are forming a new team and many new players. Moreover, they missed the best player, Kim Yon Jung who is resting because injury so she cannot play in this tournament.

     For playing between Thailand and Korea teams 8 times, Thailand can win over Korea only 1 time and the last 3 times Thailand never wins over Korea team. By the way, 4 teams who win Asian Women Cup will get a chance to play in volleyball World Grand Prix 2013 which is Japan and China team passed to play in this tournament already. For the next match Thai will meet Chinese Taipei tomorrow 6.30pm by Thai time.

BANGKOK — Justin Bieber's Fanclub were panic, after their beloved singer, Justin Bieber, committed suicide by drinking an poison among his concert live in Bangkok last night.

       After having a news that Selena Gomez, Justin bieber's girlfriend, decided to break up with him before he came to Thailand, Justin Bieber performed his show in the concert not good as before. And while he was standing on the stage and talking about Selena, he took a bottle of poison and said that "I will love you till i die and remember my true love, Selena". Finally, he fell on the stage among the screaming of the audience. 

       DR. Somchai Montree, Who take first aid for Justin Bieber said that " Justin took an intense poison that stronger than cleaning toilet liquid so, I cannot heal him in time." 

       Selena Gomez said that "I don't know why he has to suicide because it's nonsense. I did not love him anymore. Maybe he did it because he want to die as the legend. He just want everyone attend to him. 

       MS.Judy Hopkins, Justin's fan club who follows him everywhere said that " I go to every his concert and i think his other show is very fantastic but this concert was not. I'm sure that he has something in has mind because i saw he cry before he perform.

       However, there are a lot of blames in Thailand that "Justin Bieber was just a mad boy" that want to show his crazy love.

A fierce lion was shot during the rampage by animal world expo’s staff.

BANGKOK — Yesterday, a huge lion was visible at Siam Paragon G floor that make many people were panic because the fierce lion attacks 3 Paragon's customers until they were seriously injured.

       The lion came from South Africa with the Animal world Expo staff who come to held an Animal exhibition at Siam Paragon. The lion escaped while the staff was changing its cage. After that it happened a trouble event because the lion was not familiar with people that make its madden and be fierce. 

       Arunothat Chaiyut, a 7-year-old boy, was attacked while he tried to play with the lion. Mr.Somyot Sutagun, a 45-year-old man who saw the event, rushed to save the boy that make him seriously injure. After that, the panic lion begin to hurt everybody who come to its and attacks Ms. Porntip Konkun, a 20-year-old woman who try to take a photo of the event, get hurt. Finally,  the Animal wold Expo staff decided to shoot its.

       Mr. Zhang dong, The animal expo owner said about The lion that " I just receive this beautiful lion from Africa company last week, this is its first time for show. I am apologize for this event and I will cancel all my expo for awhile for check that all of my animal will be kindness and be familiar with people before showing."

       Ms.Lillada Paragon, Siam Paragon Owner, said that "I think this expo staff are professional so, I don't think this story will happen. Moreover, I will fight that company till the end. and I will pay for every customer who get hurt from this event.

       However, many customers have filed a lawsuit against the company, charges of negligence causing other people were injured as soon as they can.

BANGKOK – The rector of Kasetsart University announced yesterday that he will close the Bangkhen campus and move all summer class students to the Kamphaeng Saen Campus for awhile to avoid the flood.

      On September 27th in commons, Assoc.Prof.Wuttichai Kapilkarn, rector of Kasetsart University announced that he will close the Bangkhen campus for awhile and move all summer class students to the Kamphaeng Saen campus to avoid the flood. “After Meteorological Department warned that there will be a strongly typhoon again and our campus is in a risk area,” Assoc.Prof.Wuttichai said. “We plan to move in next two week.”

      “Actually, the Bangkhen campus has been damaged by flood since last month,” Assoc.Prof.Wuttichai said. “It will be a great time for rebuilt and find the way to protect our campus from flooding in next time.”

      However, Assoc.Prof.Wuttichai also said that it good for students who want to graduation in time, so they can study summer classes at the Kamphaeng Saen Campus.

      

      Mr.Vittawat Lamtean, The student president of the Bangkhen campus feels worry about the moving of summer classes students from Bangkhen campus to the Kamphaeng Saen Campus.  “It will difficult for students who have a hometown in Bangkok to find a dormitory when they come to study a summer class,” Mr.Vittawat said. “I decide to talk with the rector to assist in providing a place for them.”

BANGKOK — Ministry of Public Health (MPB) found a marijuana 20 milligram in ichitan green tea while checking the local product quality yesterday.  

       Icitan Greentea, a famous greentea beverage, was proved that it is best seller beverage because it has a little marijuana that can make people drug it.

       Ministry of Public Health (MPB) said that "this is a very serious story, Mr. Tun Pasakonatee should close his company as soon as possible and get rid of his beverage." Moreover, Ministry of Public Health prepare to check all of Mr. Tun Pasakornatee's company such as Tokiya restaurant, Ichitan Izakaya buffet, including his wife company, Melt Me.

       Mr. Tun Pasakonatee, Ichitun Greentea company owner said he did not know about his drink has marijuana before. He think his competitor against him. he will fight to the end because he confident that he executed correctly.

       However, at present, Ichitun Greentea beverage was get rid of and ban for 3 months or until Mr. Tun can prove that Ichitun greentea does not have any marijuana and he was against.

SEOUL – The cooking students from Silpakorn University won bronze prize in cooking and decorations dessert dishes contest in The World Student Culinary Challenge (WSCC) 2012 at a hotel in Seoul yesterday.

       On September 26th in commons, The World Student Culinary Challenge 2012 was arranged at the Hotel La Casa Seoul, Korea.  For this year, there are many students around the world attended in the challenge such as from United State, Canada, France, Australia, Korea, Japan, Thailand and several other countries.

        For the result, Thailand got two bronze prizes from two challenge programs by third year students from Silpakorn University.  Ms.Thanyatorn Chuwanon (the left in the picture) won the bronze prize from a freestyle meat cooking challenge which has 8 competitors around the world. “It quite hard to compete with them,” Ms.Thanyatorn said after won the prize. “Anyway, although I got only bronze prize, I still feel happy because it is a big challenge for me and I do all my best.”

        Another girl is Ms.Saranya Pukkaweth (the right in the picture) won the bronze prize from a decorations dessert dishes contest which has 12 competitors. “I'm a little bit hurry in 5 minute before time out,” Ms.Saranya said. “By the way, it is a good experience for me even though I won only bronze prize.”

        For the next year, The World Student Culinary Challenge will arrange in Tokyo, Japan. “The next year will have surprises,” Organizers said. “We decide to change the number of the day from two-days to three-days and the challenge will have several kinds than before.”

BANGKOK — The Faculty of Fine Arts of Srinakharinwirot University classified in top ten of the best faculty for study acting in Asia, ABAC poll indicates yesterday.

       According to the ranking of Asia universities of Asia University Rankings 2012 has classified the various faculty of the university.  The results showed that the Faculty of Fine Arts of Srinakharinwirot University ranked in top ten of the best faculty for study acting.

       ABAC poll, the ranking organization in Thailand explains that there are other universities from Thailand ranking in the rank but Srinakharinwirot University is the only one that ranked in top ten. "Srinakharinwirot University also ranked in the same group of other leading universities across Asia such as City University of Hong Kong, Kyung Hee University, Nanjing University, Osaka University and several other universities,” ABAC poll said.

       Moreover, The Faculty of Fine Arts of Srinakharinwirot University also has been ranked in fifteenth of the best faculty for study painting in Asia University Rankings 2010.  “This is another step forward of the University of Thailand that has been ranked in the Asia University Rankings,” One of academician from ABAC poll said.

       In addition, there are other faculty from Srinakharinwirot University ranked in the Asia University Rankings 2012 such as, Faculty of Dentistry, Faculty of Engineering and Faculty of Humanity.

LOS ANGELOS  —  David Becham , a football legend who is currently playing for Los Angelis Galaxy will retire from professional football  in November after a 19 – year career by terminating his 1 year  contact  left with LA Galaxy.

       Beckham, 36, said he would retire in November even if he still has 1 year left for playing for LA Galaxy because he is having some health problems and he cannot continue as a professional football player.

       “I just feel fulled and want to stop,” Beckham said. “I do not think it is easy to stop doing something that you do every day for the whole of your life. But now I think it is the time to stop for me. I would spend  time to take care of my health and my family more.”

       Beckham is very successful in his career. Sponsorship deals and branding of products for various companies is also an additional boost to Beckham fame and wealth. Moreover, He founded David Beckham Academy football school. The superstar footballer added about his retirement

       “I want to give a chance for a new generation footballers so I will look after my football school more after my retirement,”

       For broken contract with LA Galaxy Beckham said he will have agreement with the club and ready to pay for compensation.

BANGKOK —  Kemmanij Jamikorn ,Srinakarinwiroth University (SWU) freshmen made the new record of 100m running 11.12 second in University sport game 2012 yesterday at CU stadium, Chulalongkorn University ,the host of university sport game 2012 tournament.

       At the last day of University sport game 2012 as its name Prakeaw game had many track and field sports competition at CU stadium. The highlight of the competition was  the new record of university sports game by SWU freshmen in the 100m with 11.12 second.

       Miss Jamikorn broke the old record of Woranooch Wongsawan, Bangkok university student who did record 11.95 second last year at university sport game 2011 (Chaingmai game)

       Miss Jamikorn is the dark horse of the match because she was not the favorite candidates. This year was her first time for attending the competition in university sport game. However, she is a rising star in running field because she was the second champion in Youth running Thailand.

       “I did not expect this gold medal,” Miss Jamikorn said after the race.”I am really glad to win this gold among many great runners. They are technical and experienced atheletes, so getting this gold medal is incredible. By the way, I am really thankful to my coach and all my supporters.”

       On the other hand, Miss Wongsawan who got the silver medal in this race also  congratulates the new champion.

       “I am a bit disappointed but Kemanij  did a really great job. I have to congratulate her for winning the gold medal. I hope both of us can compete in other tournaments.”
